Records / Identification
The primary function of the Records/Identification Division, led by Lieutenant Dayna Sampognaro, is the accurate processing, management, and preservation of information maintained by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The division is responsible for receiving and maintaining offense reports, accident reports, warrants, and inmate booking documentation, ensuring that all records are properly stored in both physical and electronic formats.
In addition, the division responds to public records requests, conducts background checks, and provides fingerprinting services to the public. The Records/Identification Division also manages and processes evidence submitted by deputies, maintaining strict documentation and chain-of-custody procedures to ensure integrity and accountability.
