Congratulations to our own New Orleans Saints, they are Superbowl Bound!!!

2009-2010 NFC Champion New Orleans Saints
will play the Colts in the Superbowl this Sunday

Congratulations to our own New Orleans Saints, the NFC champions! Their victory over the Minnesota Vikings was the culmination of 43 years of hard earned determination and perseverance. Not only did they bring home the NFC championship trophy but they’ve re-energized the spirit and enthusiasm of nearly everyone in Louisiana.
Just a few short years ago following the Katrina disaster they were a team uprooted and without a home. Many of their fans throughout the New Orleans area were scattered throughout the country striving to rebuild their lives. Life was bleak back then.

However, look at the Saints today, they’ve overcome tremendous obstacles, they’ve rebuilt themselves, and they’ve succeeded! They were victorious throughout their regular season as well as the playoffs. Today they are the NFC Champions! They have the potential to be Super Bowl Champs!

Yes, the Saints have given us more than a championship! They’ve shown us how to persevere, how to stay focused, and how to succeed! What a tremendous example they’ve given us!

Let’s all cheer for the Saints in their upcoming battle against the Indianapolis Colts! May they return home to us as Super Bowl Champions!!!

Black & Gold WINS THE SUPERBOWL!!!

Remember to Celebrate President's Day on February 15, 2010
This year we will celebrate Presidents Day on Monday, February 15. This particular holiday honors the accomplishments of our first President, George Washington, also known as the Father of this Country. On this day we honor his leadership in the founding of our nation. Presidents Day was the first holiday to honor an American citizen. Originally, this holiday used to be celebrated on February 22, Washington’s actual birthday but was changed to the 3rd Monday of February to also honor President Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday was February 12 with Presidents Day falling between these two birthdays.   Full Story
