Two Suspects Arrested on Multiple Armed Robbery Charges

On 6/19/16, as a result of a joint investigation with the Monroe Police Department and West Monroe Police Department, investigators with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division affected the arrest of Herman Lee Scott of Monroe for multiple armed robberies within all three jurisdictions. Scott, along with his accomplice Dantavius Dewayne Williams of Monroe, was taken into custody for the robbery of the a convenience store on New Natchitoches Rd. in West Monroe in which the suspects discharged a firearm at the clerk.  The investigation over several months conducted by all three departments implicated Scott and Williams in as many as 20 commercial robberies dating back to December of 2015. Both are currently booked in OCC. The diligence and cooperation of all three departments is to be commended and the resulting arrests are evidence of such.
