Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest
On May 19, 2015, deputies with the Ouachita Sheriff’s SCAT Unit and the Metro Narcotics Criminal Patrol Unit initiated a traffic stop of a commercial tractor-trailer on I-20 in West Monroe. Subsequent investigation determined Antonio Jackson, age 36, Memphis, TN to be in possession of 5 kilos of powder cocaine and approx. 1 kilo of crystal methamphetamine. Street value of the drugs is estimated at $600,000.00. Jackson was arrested and booked in OCC on the charges of 2 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS II and one count of Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic.
