Suspect Arrested in Vehicle Burglary Investigation
Update: Caleb Watts has been charged with an additional count of Simple Burglary earlier today. The charge stems from a stolen handgun recovered during the execution of the search warrant Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at his residence. The investigation is continuing.
The investigation by OPSO Deputies into a vehicle burglary reported earlier today, January 25th, 2019 on Hedge Hill Drive in Calhoun has led to the arrest of a suspect.
Caleb Nicholas Watts, age 18 of West Monroe has been arrested and booked in OCC by Ouachita Sheriff’s Investigators. He is charged with 1 count of Simple Burglary and 1 count of Possession of CDS Schedule 1 (Marijuana). A handgun taken in the burglary was recovered. The investigation is continuing.
During the investigation while Deputies were executing a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, a second arrest was also made. Joseph D. Watts, age 50 of West Monroe, was charged with Resisting an Officer by Interfering. The suspect repeatedly interfered with Deputies while they were executing the search warrant.
