Sheriff Jay Russell Inducted Into the Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame
Ouachita Parish Sheriff Jay Russell was inducted into the Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame on Friday, August 6th during the ceremony held in West Feliciana Parish. Sheriff Russell, having 37 years of law enforcement experience and serving in his third term as Ouachita Parish Sheriff, was selected along with eight other Louisiana officials for this year’s induction.
The Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame was established in 2004 by the Louisiana State Penitentiary Museum Foundation in honor, appreciation, and recognition of individuals who have served the State of Louisiana in law enforcement, corrections, criminal justice, and civil service. The Louisiana Justice Hall of Fame and exhibit is located at the Angola Museum.
