Sgt. John Hurd Retires

Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies hosted a retirement party earlier day for retiring Sgt. John Hurd.

Sgt. Hurd is retiring with 32.5 years of service with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

John began his career in 1988 at the Ouachita Correctional Center. He later transferred to the Patrol Division where he served several years before transferring to the Civil Division, where he served until retirement.
