SCAT Arrests Suspect in Narcotics Investigation

The investigation into suspected narcotic activity on Oak Springs Drive in West Monroe by Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s SCAT Deputies has led to the arrest of one suspect on narcotics charges.

Michael Otwell, age 35 has been arrested and booked into OCC on the following:

1 ct. Poss. of CDS I With Intent to Distribute (Heroin)

1 ct. Poss. of CDS II With Intent to Distribute (Methamphetamine)

1 ct. Poss. of CDS II (Adderall)

1 ct. Poss. of CDS IV (Clonazepam)

1 ct. Poss. of Firearms with CDS

Warrants: Failure to Appear in Court on charges of Distribution of CDS II (Methamphetamine), Distribution of CDS III (Stanozolol), Distribution of CDS IV (Clonazepam) and Issuing Worthless Checks

A large quantity of narcotics and firearms were seized as a result of the arrest:

91.5 grams of Heroin

22 grams of Methamphetamine

5 Adderall pills

6 Clonazepam pills

1.5 grams of Marijuana

15 Firearms

The investigation is continuing.
