Program Donates Recliners to Veterans

A program has been started by Margaret Horne that is now accepting donations from the public to purchase nice recliners for our Veterans in the Alzheimer’s Wing at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Home here in Monroe.

Today, the first group purchased was delivered to the Veterans, one of which was purchased by Sheriff Jay Russell. As you can see, the Veterans very much appreciated the chairs and were already putting them to good use.

Anyone wishing to donate to the program to purchase the chairs can contact the Administrators Office of the Veterans Home.
