Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office SCAT Arrest Suspect with 1 Kilo of Cocaine

On July 26, 2017, Deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s SCAT conducted a traffic stop on I-20 in West Monroe.  During the course of the traffic stop, deputies located 1 kilo of Cocaine hidden in sports equipment.  The driver, Walter Sims, age 61 of Dallas, TX  was arrested and booked in OCC on the charge of 1 ct. Possession with Intent to Distribute/Mfg. CDS II.

The investigation is continuing.
