OPSO Supports Second Amendment Rights

“People have asked about our position regarding the new gun law proposals. Our position has not changed. We support the constitution and the rights provided by the second amendment for lawful citizens to bear arms,” said Ouachita Parish Sheriff Jay Russell.

“We cannot speak as to how these new gun control proposals may change things until there are more specifics, but as far as we know, these proposals do not impact any of the laws we enforce in Ouachita Parish,” said Chief Deputy Marc Mashaw, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
