Donated Items for the OPSO Supply Drive for South Louisiana Flood Victims to Deliver Friday, Aug. 26
The OPSO Deputies & Wives South La. Flood Relief Drive has packed all the donations and is ready to deliver them to Christian Life Church in Baton Rouge. The response from the citizens of Ouachita Parish was tremendous. In just a few days, enough supplies were received to completely fill a 53’ trailer. “We are extremely thankful to the people of Ouachita Parish for their generous contributions to help those in need in South Louisiana” said Sheriff Jay Russell. “I would also like to thank the wives of the deputies that initiated the drive and all the deputies, spouses, friends and family that worked to gather the items and package them for shipping.”
Most of the donors remained anonymous and brought their items to the drop off point at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse. Therefore, their identities are not known but their kind act does not go unrecognized. However, certain individuals and companies donated specific types of items such as special cleaning items, medical kits or needed services, such as temporary storage space for the items and transportation to south Louisiana. Those donors are listed below:
John Perry, Faulk & Foster Toys-R-Us
Jason Bullock, JPS Equipment Rental Home Depot
Eric Liew, AOSS Equipment Lowes
Dr. Chico Rosales BMOE, LLC
Dr. Gerald Foster Claiborne Christian School-Grades 4 & 5
Arthritis & Diabetes Clinic Delta Grand Rehabilitation
