OPSO Seizes 5lbs of Marijuana
On the morning of 10/3/12 at approximately 2:03am, Corporal Smith of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office observed a 2012 Dodge Challenger bearing a Florida license plate to be traveling 71 MPH in a 60 MPH zone and initiated a traffic stop on I-20 East at Downing Pines. The vehicle was occupied by two adult males and one adult female. Upon making contact with the driver, Cpl Smith detected a strong odor associated with marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.
A consensual search of the vehicle revealed one small bag of suspected CDS in the rear passenger door handle. While searching the trunk area, a diaper box was found that appeared to have been resealed. Deputy Ken Russ deployed his K-9, Tomec, who gave a positive alert in the trunk area where the box was located.
After opening the box of diapers, three vacuum sealed, gallon-sized bags were found and appeared to contain suspected marijuana.
Ralph E. White II, 37yo, Damarick Stewart, 22yo, and Nikuoya R. Smith, 23yo, all residing in Greenville, MS, were booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center for Possession with Intent CDS I Marijuana and Conspiracy to Distribute CDS I Marijuana
