OPSO Schedules Church Security Class for January 2019

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office will be offering a Church Security Class on January 5, 2019.  The class will be held at the North Delta Regional Training Academy located at the Ouachita Parish Public Rifle Range, 268 Sheriff Richard Fewell Road in West Monroe, LA.  The class will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m.

This is a class room training class.  Firearms will not be needed; please do not bring them into the Academy building for the class.  The class will cover legal issues involving the use of force and discussions on what is needed for a church security team.

The class is free and is limited to persons attending churches in Ouachita Parish only.

Participants must fill out an application to register.  Once the application is completed, email it to the Academy at NDTA@opso.net or mail it to:
