OPSO Range Announces 2017 Concealed Carry Class Schedule-Upcoming Events
The dates for CCW classes, sponsored by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit, are listed below. Classes are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required. To register or for more information, contact Sgt. Mickey Watts at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Rifle Range, phone 318-807-1188, during normal range hours of 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The cost for the course is outlined below and includes lunch. Participants will need to furnish their weapon and 36 rounds of ammunition, along with safety glasses and hearing protection.

One participant: $100.00
Renewal for one: $75.00
Family Package: $150.00
**Family package is for 2 members only of immediate family-husband & wife, father and son or daughter, or mother and son or daughter.

Other scheduled events for the first half of 2017 are as follows:
February 18, 2017: Introductory Class for beginning steel plate challenger shooters. Class is from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The class will explain in detail the course of fire for those who wish to participate in the steel challenges but have not shot the course before.
February 19th, March 19th, and April 9th: Steel Plate Challenge Matches. All matches begin at 8:00 a.m.
April 22, 2017: CoilChem Annual Top Gun Pistol Match. More information will be posted soon on our website, www.opso.net.
