OPSO Offers Ladies Self-Defense Course-Postponed to a Later Date

UPDATE: The current Ladies Self-Defense Class scheduled for the remainder of March 2020 has been postponed to a later date, to be determined, as a precaution due to the COVID-19 concerns.

For those who have attended this class, you will be notified of the new date when is is determined and automatically registered.

Sheriff Jay Russell invites the ladies of Ouachita Parish to attend a four session self-defense course that will consist of situational awareness to   avoid becoming a victim of a violent attack and physical techniques to escape an attacker. This course will require a level of physical fitness in order to complete the exercises.

The class is free and is limited to 30 attendees.  You must be at least 16 to attend.  The course consists of 4 night sessions. To receive a certificate, you must attend all 4 class sessions.

Preregistration is required.  Click the link below for the registration form. Complete the form and return it to the Sheriff’s Administration Office on the first floor of the Ouachita Parish Courthouse Annex, 400 St. John St. in Monroe.
