OPSO Offers Concealed Carry Course for Church Security Teams

CitizenTrainingThe Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Division and Reserve Deputies Unit are offering an 8 hour course to certify area church security team members for Concealed Carry purposes. This is a tactical training course.  Participants must already possess a concealed carry permit and have written permission from their respective churches for concealed carry. The course is scheduled for January 9, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Ouachita Parish Rifle Range. The cost is $100 per attendant and pre-registration is required. Click the link below for the registration form, complete it and submit it with the registration fee to the Administration Office of the Sheriff’s Office in the courthouse annex building. The deadline for registering is January 1, 2016. Participants are to furnish their own weapon and 300 rounds of ammunition.
