OPSO Murder/Suicide Investigation

On July 18, 2012, at approximately 0249 hours, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential fire at Town East Drive in Monroe, LA. Responding deputies and fire personnel were able to remove two deceased persons from the home.

At this time, evidence indicates that the residents were involved in a murder/suicide. The identity of both the victim and suspect are not being released pending notification of the next of kin.
