OPSO Mourns the Loss of Chaplain Jeff Luellen

Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office are mourning the loss of veteran Reserve Deputy and Chaplain Jeff Luellen.

Chaplain Luellen was a member of the OPSO Reserve Unit and a Chaplain for the department for over 20 years.  He was also Senior Pastor of Hyde Park Baptist Church in West Monroe for the past several years.

Chaplain Luellen was very well known throughout Ouachita Parish and was respected by all who knew and worked with him.  Please keep his family, his Church family and deputies in your prayers.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5th at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.  Visitation at Kilpatrick will be Monday, July 4th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
