OPSO Mourns Loss of Deputy Mickey Lofton

Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office are mourning the loss of Deputy Mickey Lofton. Deputy Lofton passed away December 2, 2020.

Mickey joined the Corrections Division of OPSO in 2014. Prior to becoming a Deputy, he retired with 25 years of service at the rank of Captain from the Ouachita Parish Fire Department.

Mickey was a true friend and very well respected by those who knew and worked with him.  Please remember his family and friends in your prayers during this time.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Church in West Monroe.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 7th at the church.
