OPSO Mourns Loss of Chaplain

Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office mourn the loss of one of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Chaplains.

Pastor Charles Stevenson, Pastor of the Bethel Church of God In Christ, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Pastor Stevenson was one of the original founding members of the church in 1987 and had served as one of the volunteer Chaplains for OPSO for the past several years.

Visitation is today from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Bethel Church of God in Christ on Parkview Drive in Monroe. A graveside service will be held tomorrow, November 28^th, at 11:00 a.m. at Richwood Memorial Cemetery.
