OPSO Investigators Arrest Suspect in Theft Investigation

PressReleaseWhile conducting an investigation into recent thefts in Ouachita Parish, Ouachita Parish Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence of Calvin E. Braswell, Jr. in west Ouachita Parish.  Braswell was previously arrested in August for possession of stolen items when a stolen Airstream trailer was recovered by deputies at his residence.

The search and subsequent investigation has led to the recovery of several previously reported stolen items and a large quantity of illegal narcotics.  The items recovered include firearms, lawn equipment and other items.  Braswell has been arrested and booked in OCC on the additional charges listed below.  The investigation continues and more charges are expected.
