OPSO Arrests Suspect in Vehicle Burglary Investigation

During the early morning hours of February 7^th, 2017, an OPSO patrol deputy observed a subject on foot in the parking lot of Town & Country Apartments acting in a suspicious manner. The deputy observed the subject attempt to break into a parked, unattended vehicle. Further investigation by Ouachita Sheriff’s Investigators determined the subject was allegedly responsible for past vehicle burglaries in the area. Julian Knight, age 31 of Monroe, was subsequently arrested and charged with 3 cts. of Simple Burglary and 1 ct. of Criminal Mischief. Knight was booked in OCC on the charges. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
