OPSO Arrests Armed Robbery Suspect

On December 23, 2016, OPSO Patrol Deputies observed a vehicle and suspect fitting the description of the vehicle and suspect believed involved in a prior armed robbery of a Dollar General Store on Cypress St. in West Monroe.  Upon checking the vehicle, it was determined a felony warrant was issued for the occupant, Ponte Cortez Pendleton, age 28 of Monroe, from another jurisdiction. Further investigation by OPSO Investigators has led to the arrest of the Pendleton for allegedly committing the West Monroe armed Robbery.  Pendleton is currently being held in OCC on the charges of 1 ct. of Armed Robbery, 1 ct. of Fugitive from Justice, and 1 ct. of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  The investigation is continuing.
