Jill Davis Receives Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Life Saving Award

Sheriff Russell awards Jill Davis of West Monroe with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Life Saving Award for her exceptional heroism demonstrated on July 3rd, 2019.

On July 3, 2019 Mrs. Davis was having lunch at Catfish Cabin on Louisville Avenue in Monroe with a group of friends.  While sitting at their table they heard a loud noise and noticed that a lady had collapsed and had stopped breathing.  Mrs. Davis immediately began CPR and continued for 5-7 minutes until relieved by a registered nurse.  First responders then arrived and transported the woman to the hospital.  Emergency room doctors advised that the timely initiation of CPR saved this woman’s life.

Mrs. Jill Davis has worked many years at Ouachita Christian School as a teacher’s aide and is a member of North Monroe Baptist Church.
