Homicide Investigation

On Sunday, October 7, 2012, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting complaint outside a residence on McKeithan Street in West Monroe. The initial investigation revealed that a male victim was shot and died as a result of this incident. Investigators have identified the suspect as Luis Alberto Valenzuela, 30 years of age.

An arrest warrant has been secured for Luis Alberto Valenzuela for one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Assault with a Gun. Bond for the two counts is $1,050,000.00.

UPDATE: Arrests warrants have been secured on Angela Nicole Walker and Francisco Joel Valenzuela for their participation in this homicide. Both warrants are for Accessory after the Fact – 2nd Degree Murder with bond set at $500,000.00 each.
