Just For Girls
Just For Girls
Presented by D.M.A.C.
Just For Girls is a call to our students that desire to enrich their lives. There are multiple issues plaguing our young ladies that are becoming more complicated by the day. From sex trafficking to human trafficking, our young ladies are being exploited in many ways, and this presents dangerous challenges. Statistics say 1 out of every 4 teens are sending explicit messages (sexting), and 41 percent have explored beyond that. “Just For Girls” has created the “PINK” conversation (Purpose, Inspire, Nurture, Know your limits). The ultimate goal of this conversation is to encourage our students to navigate through the issues and know what purpose moves you towards your goals. In 2019, our community suffered great loss due to street violence, domestic violence and overall poor decision-making by our youth. This community wants to see our female students achieve success in the classroom and in life. Deputies Making a Change believes in our young ladies, and their life choices should not hinder their growth. During this session, we will cover numerous topics. Before the session is conducted, prior approval from the school administration will be completed, and administrative staff must be present. Each session will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hrs, and arrangements will be made for the students’ absence from class during this time. There will be no deviation from the topics and all discussions will be open.
