Deputies Surprised with Free Lunch!

Ouachita Parish Sheriff Deputies were surprised today with free chick-fil-a sandwiches. A family from Ouachita Parish sent the food for Law Enforcement Appreciation day. “It really makes you feel good when someone goes out of their way to say thanks for the job we do!” said Cpl. Chris Wyles.

These random acts of kindness by citizens of Ouachita Parish are happening more and more these days. It is sometimes a sudden thank you for your service at the gas pumps or even a waitress saying excuse me but your meal was taken care of.

“I want to thank this family and the citizens of Ouachita Parish for recognizing the work of these fine men and women at the Sheriff’s Office. It is great to serve in a community that appreciates its Deputies”, said Sheriff Jay Russell.
