Christmas on the River PAW-RADE

Time to dress-up your pets for the Christmas Holidays! Pets and their servants are invited to come to the Christmas on the River Paw-Rade Saturday, December 8, 2012! All pets are welcome to participate in this family fun event. So bring your cats, dogs, pigs, chickens, ducks or any other friendly animal, and put them on display! Proceeds from the parade will benefit the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.

SCHEDULE:
• 12:30 p.m. Registration & Assembly
• 1:00 p.m. Judging Begins
• 1:30 p.m. Parade Begins
• 2:00 p.m. Winners Announce
• 2:15p.m. Obedience & Rally Demonstration

JUDGING CATEGORIES:
• Best Costume Large Dog
• Best Costume Small Dog
• Owner/Pet Duo
• Best Float
• Best Costume Non-Canine

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Animals must be current on vaccinations
• No females in heat will be allowed to participate.
• Pets must be leashed at all times
• No motorized vehicles will be allowed, except for the Grand Marshall.
• Any animal displaying aggressive or undesirable behavior must leave the parade and the area.
• The Parade Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry based on lewdness, vulgarity, inappropriate behavior, or failure to follow guidelines.
• Owners must maintain control over their pets at all times.
• Owners are responsible for any accidental bites by their pets.
• Owners MUST pooper scoop after their pets.
