Battery Investigation in West Monroe

On 3/24/13, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated a battery complaint on Well Road in West Monroe. The victim, Paul Dysart, 44yo, was struck in the head by Morgan Heath. Dysart collapsed striking his head on the pavement. Dysart was transported to a local hospital for treatment for serious head injuries. Heath was subsequently arrested and booked into OCC and charged with 2nd Degree Battery.

Dysart was later transported to a Shreveport hospital where he passed away. All information in this case has been submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for upgrading of the current charges. Heath is being held on $100,000 bond.
