Arrests Made in Burglary Investigation

On October 29, 2014, Ouachita Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported burglary at the Dollar General Store, 1200 Thomas Rd., in West Monroe.  Surveillance video indicated two unidentified black male suspects gained entry into the store by forcing open a rear door.  Once inside, the suspects proceeded to take candy and other merchandise from the shelves.  Suspects also attempted to open a floor safe but were unsuccessful. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot.  The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of two juveniles responsible for the burglary.  Part of the merchandise was recovered.  Both juveniles were booked in Green Oaks Detention Home on the charge of 1 count of Simple Burglary each.
