Attempted Second Degree Murder Arrests
UPDATE: After further investigation, Vonterrious White, a victim in the shooting, has also been arrested for his involvement in the June 27th shooting. White is being charged with one count for Attempted Second Degree Murder.
UPDATE: SUSPECT, ERIC ALEXANDER, HAS BEEN CAPTURED
On June 27, 2012 at approximately 8:41pm, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to the 600 Block of Greenwood Drive in Monroe, LA in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located three victims which all had sustained gunshot wounds to various parts of their body. All three victims were transported to local hospitals and are in stable condition.
During the investigation, deputies learned that there was a verbal altercation between one of the victims and Eric Alexander AKA “Gummy”, the shooting suspect. The verbal altercation became more heated and turned violent when Eric pulled a gun out and began to shoot at the three victims, striking all three.
There has been a warrant issued for the arrest of Eric Jarrell Alexander, 18yo Black Male, for three counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
