Two Additional Suspects Arrested in Investigation of the Shooting of Two Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputies

PressReleaseResulting from the continuing investigation of the shooting of two Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputies on June 23rd, two additional suspects have been arrested.  Domonique L. Dean, age 17 of Monroe, and Rodricus Shaw, age 17 of Monroe, are both currently booked in OCC on 3 cts. each of Accessory After the Fact Attempted First Degree Murder.  Evidence developed during the investigation that the two suspects had devised a plan to help the suspect, Rickie Wade, avoid arrest. The suspects contacted the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office during the search by law enforcement officers for Wade, identifying them as Wade and gave a fictitious address to come for him.  This was done in an effort to lure law enforcement officers from Wade’s actual location, so that he could flee and avoid arrest.  The plan failed as the suspect was later arrested.
