Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s SVU Investigation Leads to Arrest
UPDATE Mar. 2, 2017: Stemming from the ongoing investigation of this case, two additional warrants have been issued for Amos on the charges of 1 ct. Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between an Educator and Student and 1 ct. Distribution Schedule 1 Controlled Dangerous Substance. Amos has been booked on these additional charges at OCC where he is currently incarcerated.
An investigation by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has led to the issuance of warrants and the arrest of Christian J. Amos, age 25 of Monroe. Amos is currently being held at OCC on 4 cts. of Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between Educator and Student, 1 ct. of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, and 4 cts. of Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance.
The FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force and Safe Streets Task Force, Monroe Police Dept. and the Louisiana State Police assisted in the investigation, which is continuing.
